    So we booked a little getaway not too long ago, and I gotta say, the location was spot on! Super close to the MRT and some great local banks for quick currency exchanges. We loved the old-school charm of the place too; it really had a classy vibe that made our stay feel special. The cozy bed was perfect for some romantic snuggles, and the shower? Just awesome!

    We ran into some downsides. Our room felt a bit cramped, and there was a weird sag in the chairs – definitely in need of an upgrade! The breakfast really didn’t impress, either—pretty basic and lacking in variety. Oh, and don't expect a gym or pool to unwind after a long day. it was alright, but not quite what we hoped for. 😕.

    During my recent three-night stay while exploring the city, I found the hotel to impress. The exotic wooden finishes throughout the hotel exude a charming, classic atmosphere. My spacious suite featured a king and queen bed, ensuring a good night's sleep with multiple pillow options. Amenities like L'Occitane toiletries and a relaxing jacuzzi bathtub added a luxurious touch.

    Totally recommend this hotel.

    Simply no reason to complain, good stay. Perfect and perfectly clean place overall with perfect location convenient to the MRT. Warm and great breakfast with variety of delicacies and attentive staff.

    The location in a very nice area was good and there were a night market and a bazaar nearby. Distance to the airport was just 0.5 km. I truly enjoyed the enjoyable breakfast served at 9.40am...

    The hotel offers enjoyable meal in the morning with steak which was astonishing and alacarte dishes, for example. Good and EXCELLENT location, close to a subway station if needed.

    I stayed for 3 nights in the Deluxe Family Room while exploring Taipei with my family. The room was spacious and had a nice layout, dividing the living area from the bedroom, which worked perfectly for us. The breakfast provided a good variety of options, and the beef noodles were a particular highlight. Another plus was the close proximity to the nearest metro station. The hotel was clean and offered attentive service.

    The location was excellent for the purpose of my trip. The staff was helpful and very courteous. The deluxe suite I had was superb and exceptionally clean. The amenities in the suite were beyond compare! I will recommend this hotel to all my friends and family whenver they visit Taipei. The Evergreen Laurel Hotel truely was my home away from home with all the comforts and at a very good price! I will be staying there again within the near future. Thank you so much.

    Reasons to love it, and reasons not to

    Customer service was great. Staff treated us like royalty! The room was spacious and impeccably clean.

    Loud noise from the upstairs disrupted my peace unexpectedly. Limited breakfast refreshment towards the end made dining less enjoyable.

    Comfortable room, good selection of teas in room. Cool idea of having a printer/copier in room.

    Misleading information on bathroom: was actually only a shower stall in a very small toilet (couldn't open door to room and shower stall at same time). The fittings were gold-plated, though (as described). Poor sound insulation between rooms, and towards corridor.Average breakfast offerings (both Asian and European).

    Very pleasant and helpful staff. Good, firm beds. Quiet room for sleeping. Fruit in room very nice. Replenishment of bottled water. Beautiful bathroom. Nice touches like quality tea cups and cover on weight scale. Well located to two different mrt lines. Nice work out room.

    I wished there were more varied restaurants near by.

    The Beautiful Family Room was wicked spacious for my crew, perfect for keeping the kids entertained. Breakfast was solid, especially the beef noodles- a treat! The location? Just a short walk to the metro. Housekeeping was on point, but that carpet could use a little love. Definitely coming back next time!
